T-SUTRA COLLECTION  




T-Sutra emerged from my mixology days post-university, as a collaborative venture with a group of Italian friends who shared their cocktail expertise. Inspired to create our own brand, we embarked on the journey of crafting an erotically inspired drink brand. This experience proved to be a valuable lesson in the nuances of establishing a clothing brand, teaching me that not everyone seeks a Karma Sutra-inspired t-shirt.





Despite the initial challenges, T-Sutra became a lucrative venture, perhaps fueled by the allure of our risqué approach, particularly among the spirited Italian community in London. The demand was overwhelming, with all 175 t-shirts selling out within an impressive 5-hour timeframe. Our success led to a collaboration with a kumquat liquor brand, further solidifying our position in the market.






“ The t-sutra collection is an exploration of sex, inspired by depictions from the karma sutra. the concept aims to encourage free self-expression and freedom surrounding ones sexuality. Through minimalistic, flowing and continuous line drawings , the designs explore the intertwining and intimacy you feel when you are with your lover. 

Each t-shirt is hand printed in house by our small team. this was a conscious decision made to produce the items organically. Due to this style of production, every t-shirt is slightly unique as no precision machinery is used at any point. this makes every item its own beautiful work of wearable art.”





However, as we endeavored to expand, we found ourselves constrained by the specific style and language we had initially embraced. Regrettably, this limitation ultimately led to the closure of the brand. The T-Sutra journey, marked by financial success and collaborative achievements, stands as a testament to the highs and lows of entrepreneurial endeavors in the dynamic world of fashion and design.
